Biography
Pierre Lauret received his PhD in environment from Mines Saint-Etienne, France, in 2014. He is an associate professor at IMT Mines Ales, France, at the Risk Sciences Institute. His work is focused on the understanding and modeling of physical phenomena involved in industrial risks. In order to reduce computing time of fluid dynamics models, he suggested the use of the combination of artificial intelligence tools (cellular automata and artificial neural networks) to model atmospheric dispersion. Since 2018, he is head of the risks teaching department at IMT Mines Ales, France.
