Dr. Ryuji Hamamoto is the Team Leader of the Center Translational Research Team, RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project since 2017, and representative Director of the Japanese Association for Medical Artificial Intelligence since 2018. He is also the Division Chief of the National Cancer Center Research Institute and a Professor at the NCC Medical Science, Tokyo Medical and Dental University since 2016. He became a Research Associate at the Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo in 2000, and Assistant Professor from 2001 till 2012. He was also an Honorary Visiting Fellow, Department of Oncology, the University of Cambridge from 2006 to 2008. He became an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine, The University of Chicago in 2012 before taking on his current position.
