Yolanda is Head of Research & Advisory at The Future Society, an independent nonprofit ‘think-and-do-tank’ with the mission the advance the global governance of AI and emerging technologies to benefit humanity. She leads AI policy research and advisory regarding the geopolitics of AI, ethics, safety, cybersecurity, mitigating the social & economic impacts of AI, and more. This includes developing and advising national AI strategies (e.g. Rwanda’s National AI Strategy) and international AI policies (e.g. for OECD, World Bank Digital Development). Yolanda directs AI policy courses at Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs and IE University in Madrid.
Yolanda has a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and Bachelors in Economics and European Studies from Columbia University. She previously worked on transatlantic digital trade and regulation at the U.S. Embassy in Paris.
