Biography
Yoko Mochizuki is a Head of Policy at UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) in New Delhi, UNESCO’s first and only Category 1 research institute in the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining MGIEP in 2015, she was a Programme Specialist at the Section of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), UNESCO, Paris. Prior to that, she was an ESD specialist and a research fellow at the United Nations University. Her current work focuses on working with national and local authorities to mainstream Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and digital learning as new dimensions of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education, especially Target 4.7 on education for sustainable development and global citizenship.
